Keeping things interesting

Apparently
chaoticgoodchic felt my journal was getting too boring, so on friday she challenged me to go out and do something with people, so I would have something interesting to post in my journal.
Of course she issues this challenge at about 7:15pm friday, when anyone I might hook up with have probably already made plans for the evening. Given my limited transportation options, I decided to go check out the WPI Science Fiction Society, Friday Gamenight. I had heard that they meet every friday, doing mostly boardgames, from Kate. (see: Fighting Boredom) I pulled out my bike and rode off into the night hoping I would be able to figure out what part of the WPI campus is "The Wedge".
I found the right place, and Kate was there to introduce me to some people. She was playing a game designed by a student (who is taking a game design course). The players are all "Mad Scientists" who are gathering resources to build their secret base/lab to take over the world (Mwa haha haha ha). Each player has a different "goal" to achieve to win the game.
I then joined a game of McMulti which ran till 11pm. I think I did alright for my first time playing. It's not a game that really appeals to me though. I really need to bring a Tsuro game there sometime, it's quick and easy to pick up.
After McMulti I hung out talking with Kate and her friends till 1am then came home.
