On Friday the 13th (no I didn't plan that)

Exercise this week:
I caught a cold. No, that doesn't count as exercise. I mention it to explain my lack of exercise
I walked five and a half miles over 3 days, I swam once (before the cold hit) I did not kayak.
I completed Day 25 thru 28 of the 28 Day Yoga Exercise Plan, (I finished the book!) and did Routine A in the back of the book. (5 half-hour yoga sessions)

My average calories per day this week were 1613,
with a range of 1460 - 2039. Terrible numbers at both ends.

My weight last week was 164 lbs. (74 kilograms)
My weight today is 164 lbs. (74 kilograms)

It was a rough week, but at least I didn't lose any ground. I still have 5 lbs. to go to reach my target weight.

After some more involved than usuall motor-vehicle juggling, I brought my kayak down to the lake, then came home, had lunch, changed into my baithing suit, grabbed the gear and walked down to the boat launch (I didn't do it all in one trib because I had to move the kayak while a truck was available.)

I put it in the water, and took off, then realized I had left my floatation vest on shore, so I paddled back grabed the vest sat back in the kayak, and heard a loud Krack The resin had not held, however the patch did make the opening an additional inch further from the waterline, and if I sat back it put little pressure on the crack, so I paddled around the lake some more. The water was a little choppy from the waterskiers. I took off my shirt to get some sun, and clouds rolled in.

In spite of all the issues I think I ended up proving the old saying, "A bad day kayaking, beats a good day at work."

This past week has been Madison, N.H. Old Home Week which culminated tonight with a parade and fireworks display.

My favorite line of the evening.

Awards for those in the parade are judged in three categories; Floats, Antique Cars & Motercycles, and Walkers. Politicians are not eligable to win because we don't judge the politicians in our parade.

This year the Town of Madison decided they could not afford fireworks, so the Old Home Week Committee raised funds through donations to pay for the fireworks. All I can say is they clearly got their money's worth. It was a great show.
