This is it; this is the episode where Katherine comes into her own Finally.
Oren goes to Boston to and kidnaps Tyler. When the Trio tries to follow, they end up someplace between universes, in a place that seems to be an ideal past that never happened, and Katherine is the first to notice.
I noticed that it couldn’t be present Amirand because Fezmer and Zana are dead, but I didn’t notice at first that only Loundi characters present were those who died. It is Inorum/”the ancestors”. In order to communicate they take the appearance of those who have passed on. (Several things went click in my brain in this scene). Then we are back in Boston.
Arkahn, never ceases to surprise me. Before the shift spell Arkahn is praying, as Zana once did, then after Shaena and Jareth activate the spell we hear Arkahn humming a lullaby to focus the odi. It is eerie and comforting at the same time. Once the trio have disappeared we see ArKahn break down as she rarely has before. "No I’m not rana. Are You? Brilliant.
Oh, did we forget to mention that we placed explosives all over the city?
Jareth “Now is not the time for anger” finally they get it!
Lots of window dressing scenes, The Hunters of Truth, Targonane, The Legion, The Brotherhood, Talia, The twins bickering to the bitter end, all to illustrate why it took so long to get at our people in Oren’s Chamber.
“Here’s the part I don’t understand” with these words Katherine pragmatically pokes holes in Shaena & Oren’s 'solution'. Finally Katherine uses her weapon on a foe instead of a friend. Ever since “Revelation” Katherine has been growing. Congrats to the writers and Alexandria Gist on making it believable. Not to mention her questioning proves some of my theories were right (and disproves others).
While it was nifty, I still question if the Mike’s highlights montage was meant to be metaphorical, or literal.
Back to the “visiting a space between worlds with Inorum”, where they give us a bit more exposition.
“Work Stupid Magic: InfoDump” Best Spell Ever!
I was not expecting that once Oren and The Winged Herald were separate that Oren would return to himself before the spell. It was very telling that both Arkahn and Katherine spoke on his behalf.
Epilogue
Yes, yes, and yes
Then after the credits
Yes!
