This week I went for 5 miles of walking. I did 3 half hour yoga sessions.
My average calories per day this week were 1700;
with a range of 1600 – 1900.
My weight last week was 152 lbs. (69 kilograms)
My weight today is 151 lbs. (68 kilograms)
In six months I lost 17.5% of my starting body weight.
Last night I thought about how it was my last time entering my calories into the spreadsheet. It was a bit bitter-sweet. To let go of the habit of six months is tough, but it is also removing a bit of pressure.
That does not mean I go hog wild eating. I now have a rough idea what the calories are for a number of foods. On an individual meal I’ll be estimating (in my head) to target the meal between 250 to 650 calories. I just won’t have stats to show how many meals were high and how many were low. I will make an effort to increase my activity level to balance the extra calories I assume will creep in. I expect I might gain 4 or 5 lbs. over the next two weeks, which would be okay (I know how to lose them again if I want to).
