I have been quite popular lately

This (past) week my youngest brother paid me a visit on Tuesday, and spent the night. I took the morning off wednesday so we could sit up late talking. It was good to see him.
I then took thursday off (if you have read my previous journal entries you can probably guess why.) This means that I have now used 7 vacation days this year. Only 20 more to go, and I can't carry over.
Even though I had the day off, I went into work to go to our Toastmasters Meeting. I quickly left once the meeting was over, and went to see a movie. I saw Click. I had to leave in the middle of the movie to meet up with some people, and I didn't mind missing the ending.
The big plans for the day was joining a new gaming group. They are starting a new Star Wars game and one of their regular players won't be able to continue because he is moving out of state to be with his girlfriend. It was fun group and a very nice evening. I have decided that it is a sign of a good gaming group if they actually share a meal together before the game (even if it's just pizza).
Friday was back to work, and seemed a normal day till friday night when I received an e-mail from
varianor saying he needed some people to playtest an Arcana Evolved game that he will be running at GEN CON in 3 weeks. Was I available Saturday night? You bet I was. It was a fun game, and that's all I'm saying because I don't want to accidentally spoil anybodys surprise.
As a result I got to game twice in one week, and I'll be gaming again next weekend at
kahuna_burger's house. For someone who typically gets to game every month or two, this is quite an improvement.
