It’s that time of year again
Nov. 1st, 2010 01:39 pmWith Ohio Valley Filk Festival over we are coming to the end of the Filk year. I realize that there are still some filk events to look forward to, WindyCon is coming up, Mass Filc has 2 more meetings this year, but soon 2011 will be here. As we look back at what Filk has meant to us this year it is a good time to consider The Filk Hall of Fame.
The Filk Hall of Fame honors those who have contributed to Filk Community over the years. Is there someone you feel has contributed to the community? Someone who has made Filk something you want to be part of?
To Nominate someone you only need to send a letter or email telling who you would like to nominate and why. All Nominations are kept on file, so that over time the “evidence” for a nominee can build. January 8th, 2011 is the deadline for nominations to be considered for 2011 Filk Hall of Fame Award Ceremony. Information on how to write a nomination, what to include, and where to send it are available on the site, as well as a list of past recipients.
This will be my third year sending in a nomination.
