Borders "Dutch auction" week 5
Aug. 23rd, 2011 06:06 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
On August 15th the SF/F section discount was 30% off
On August 23rd the SF/F section discount is 40% off
In the SF/F section there were 8 shelves with 7 “risers” each (56 sections).
Books filled 31 sections today. That comes out to about 55% inventory, so now the remaining inventory is below the remaining price per book.
I picked up
Thirteen Orphans by Jane Linskold for $4.79
Spin by Robert Charles Wilson for $4.79
The copy of Oath of Fealty by Elizabeth Moon that I have been “on the fence” about for the past couple of weeks was not in the store today.
I am still waiting for more off before I buy The Truth of Valor by Tanya Huff (in hardcover), although the paperback will available in two weeks. Is it worth it to get the hardcover for $12.45 or $9.95 when the paperback costs $7.99?
