Movie Day!

I have decided to go to the movies tomorrow. The local cinema in North Conway is showing
  • X-Men: First Class
  • The Hangover Part II
  • Super 8
  • Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer
  • Bridesmaids
  • Kung Fu Panda 2 3D
  • Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

I will probably see 3 or 4 movies. Any opinions/suggestions on what I should see?

X-Men. It's fabulous.

Mom and I watched Bridesmaids the other day and laughed until we almost peed our pants, as did the rest of the theatre. Very much a chick flick, but very funny.

Pirates, on the other hand, was just "eh" for me. Loved the mermaids. The plot was rather slow and very predictable. I saw it because I'm a completionist, and found it better than three but not as good as one or two, personally.

X-men: First Class, definitely.

Pirates was fun and has some nice eye-candy.

I have heard good things about Kung Fu Panda 2, but have not actually seen it.

I have heard that Bridesmaids is absolutely awful, but again, I have not seen it as the previews and TV ads convinced me that I did not want to see it ever.

Have been told that The Hangover Part II is... exactly like The Hangover only more so. If you liked the original.... and don't mind that this is effectively all the same stuff over again... you may like this one. Possibly.

Have not actually heard anything useful about the other two.

I think you and I may have different definitions of "eye-candy".

Pretty special effects, gorgeous scenery, and people of both genders wearing not all that much at various points?

I know very little about any of those movies, but I hope you enjoy whatever you see.

I've heard a lot of people say they were surprised at how good Bridesmaids was, actually. Also heard lots of good reviews for X-Men and Super 8. Of course, I expect by now you've already made your choices. I hope you will post mini reviews.
