Weekly Weigh in 18

I imagine this post will lead to some questions.

Why I am continuing to do Weekly Weigh in posts after I reached my weight goal?
I want to maintain my current weight, the best way I can see for me to do that is to continue to moniter my calorie intake, activity level and weight.

Why am I putting the information behind a cut-tag?
I got a lot of praise and support when I announced my weight loss goal, but as I got closer to success people seemed less interested. Maybe some people felt I was bragging. Maybe some people were jealous. So now if people don't want to read about my effors it is easy to skip.

This is my journal. A place I use to record my experience. I will continue to post my Weekly Weigh in's as long as they are of use to me.

Concerning this week

My body seemed to be tired of the routine of the past few months, so for a change I did no yoga the past week. I am concerned that without continuing yoga I may loose some of the (minor) toning I gained over the past couple of months, so plan to go back to daily yoga starting tomorrow.

The weather has gotten too cold for outdoor swimming, but I did go kayaking once last week. I hope to go kayaking again today. I have been going for longer hikes to balance my activity. I walked 16 miles over four days.

My average calories per day this week were 1601;
with a range of 1552 – 1652.

My weight last week was 159 lbs. (72 kilograms)
My weight today is 158 lbs. (72 kilograms)

For next week, morning yoga again, try to keep walking in the 15 mile per week range, kayak as weather permits, and raise my calories per day target to 1700, just to see what difference it makes.

I personally didn't get less interested or become jealous or anything like that. But when I type "yea" or "way to go" or the like every week, it started to feel trite and not come off as sincere as intended.

I'm thrilled when friends do what they set out to do! It helps keep me motivated too... althoughI may slack a lot more than I'd care to do.

So, I will save all my comment leaving and put them into hug form when I see you at OVFF (yes, I decided to go! It'll take a little of robbing Peter to pay Paul, but Mary may cover me)

Way ooo, kayaking! Where do you tend to go?
And congrats on the weight loss and maintaining- note that since I rarely do lj anymore, I missed most of it.

I've been kayaking on Purity Lake in NH. Now that the "summer people" have left it is much quieter.
