To clarify, I don't mind things being a mystery as long as I can believe that there actually are rules and the story leads toward discovering them. What bugs me are shows like "Alias" and "Lost" that remind me too much of a kid explaining why he was late getting home from school: "There was a lion blocking the sidewalk...and then a wizard turned the lion into a mouse...but then the spaceship landed...."
